REVIEW: DAISO Puff Sponge Detergent

[By Small C]

I believe many of you had heard about Daiso Japan Puff Sponge Detergent which is selling like a hotcake and always out of stock in Singapore outlets. It is really a gem to find. I tried many different brands puff sponge detergent / cleanser. Yes, they served me well.

Since a SGD2 detergent can do the same job as the expensive ones, why should I spend so much money?

Yup, so I decided to just stick to using this detergent instead. Although, it is hard to get and I have to go a few waste trips before I can grab hold of it. Normally, I buy 5-10bottles at once, in any case it went out of stock again when I need it.

As I am preparing for my upcoming posts, I decided to put my COSRX Clear Fit Blemish Cushion (for those of you who haven’t read about my review) aside and use back my other foundations for this week.

As I used my other liquid foundations, of course, washing of sponge become a chores for me now.

I did mentioned before that I have sensitive skin, I always stay away from applying my foundation with make up brushes as they tend to  create blood circulation and my skin becomes active and starts to breakouts. So, Beauty Blender and other similar sponges become my best applicator for foundation.

I am a very lazy person, to be honest. Hence, I have at least 5 sponges available, so that I can change my sponge everyday but wash them altogether on Friday’s night.

My dirty sponges. P/S: One of my real technique not in picture because I am done washing it.

Daiso Puff Sponge Detergent is really a good and cheap. I can easily wash off those foundation residues from my sponges. For just 5-10mins with 1-3drops of detergent per sponge, my sponges are all clean!

See! The sponges are as good as new. In case some of you might be afraid that the Daiso detergent might spoilt your sponge or shorten the lifespan of your sponge, no worries. It won’t! My beauty blender (Black Sponge) is now 2years old. Before I started changing my sponge daily, I used the black beauty blender on daily basis and wash it daily too with Daiso Puff Sponge Detergent for at least a year. And, I am still using the same sponge.

I am not sure if I should change a new sponge every 6 months, but since my sponges are in good condition and well taken care of, I decided not to change them away. And, beauty blender is not cheap anyway.

If you are looking for a cheaper puff / sponge cleanser, and happen that your country do have Daiso Japan, go get it to wash your make up sponges.
