Today, I am going to share with you guys one of my favourite masks that I have been using. It is none other than Clarins HydraQuench Cream-mask.
In the past, I always think that keeping my skin too hydrated might cause my skin to breakouts. As I have been using acne treatment products, my skin tends to be a little dry even though I use moisturizer too. And whenever I applied my foundation, I realised my foundation finishing is either patchy and not even or visible dry skin flakes can be seen.
So, I realised that moisturizer is not enough to keep my skin hydrated and make my make-up look good. And I came to find out about the HydraQuench Cream-mask while I purchased my Clarins Bodycare product. After trying it, I fall in love with this mask.
HydraQuench Cream-Mask
Specially designed for dehydrated skin
Ingredient:
Hyaluronic acid : helps skin maintain its moisture reserves.
Katafray bark : restructures the corneal layer, prevents dehydration.
Sobier tree bud : boosts microcirculation.
Vitamin E : protects skin from free radicals.
E3P Anti-Pollution Complex protect
How to use:
Apply morning and/or evening to thoroughly cleansed face and neck. May be applied throughout the day when dehydration makes skin feel uncomfortable.
This mask has a non-drying, creamy texture to rehydrate even the driest skin in 5 to 10 minutes, restoring its freshness, radiance and comfort.
In my opinion:
I will apply this mask once or twice a week. Depending on my skin needs, sometimes I will mix a drop of the Clarins Lotus Oil. I noticed that my skin is a little sensitive, redness do appear when I applied this mask on. But once the mask settle on my skin, I can see that the redness subsided and once 10 mins is up, I will use my cotton pad that is soaked with my toner to wipe off the mask gently. I can feel my skin smoother, softer and more hydrated (as I do not feel any tightness on my skin).
Whenever I use hydrating masks, I will be extra careful as I realised that overly rich masks tend to break my skin out. Although, these few months, my skin is having some stubborn breakouts, I am still putting this mask on my weekly masking routine as it really keep my skin hydrated from the dryness caused by those acne treatment care products. And surprisingly, HydraQuench Cream-mask not only work to hydrate my skin and yet didn’t make my skin worse. So, it’s a thumb-up to this mask!!
For those who have very sensitive or oily and acne-prone skin, I suggest that you try to not to apply this mask for more than 2 times a week and each time more than 10 mins, although this mask can be used as an overnight mask. As it might be overly rich for your skin and might also cause breakouts.
